W208 CLK 5 Spoke AMG 17" Front Wheel

Dear All,

Does anyone have a W208 CLK 5 Spoke AMG 17" Front Wheel cluttering up the garage / workshop which you should really get rid of. Prefer one undamaged and round. Not fussed if the wheel does not have the polished lip.

Happy to pay reasonable price and pick up.

PCS have noted during service a slight ding in one of my front wheels, very slight, but still something which will nag at the back on my mind.

Could be an excuse to get a new set with polished lip Perhaps thats going too far.

Get it refurbed out .... no worries , they can be straightened . Speak to Stats.

It'll be a lot less than a wheel . Get the rest done and the lips polished at the same time and it'll be cost effective.

The "dent" is not horrendus and probably fixable.

Sounds like repair could be quite dodgy as the metal has already been bent one way....If you get what I mean. Will contact a few people while surfing for a wheel.

If I find a set I could be selling 3 wheels soon

STATS suggested he could send it off to have this done, but these days not many people will touch doing this to a wheel due to possible litigation if the wheel fails.

Maybe time to buy a lump hammer

One must come up on e-bay this week, i'm just feeling that lucky.

Not sure as yet, let me buy 4, get them refurbed and see what we have left over. Discuss progress on Sunday. I should have a set sourced by then.

I am assuming a refurb with the diamond cut lip is about £60 per wheel.

I do have a set of E55' wheels if you need a stop gap....

I had thought about chrome ones, but in the flesh...... I don't think they are really me, plus far to hard to keep clean.

Nope, I bought his old set from him. So will get those tarted up and will have a chrome edge soon enough. Then I have to lend a mate the old set so he can get his wheels done. Then I will be ready to lend them out / sell them

It also means I have two nearly new front tyres.
