W208 CLK Fuel cap drain hole

Hi all,

It looks like my drain hole for water / overspilt fuel around the fuel cap is blocked, since it is not draining.

What's the best thing to use to unblock it, a pipe cleaner?

I have cleaned blocked drains with curtain wire in the past.
Longer and more flexible than pipe cleaners.

I assume a rubber tube takes it from the fuel filler area to the floor underneath the car. I would worry a curtain wire might go through the tube if it were sharp.

I'm guessing the same, but curtain wire is plastic coated - no way will it go through the drain tube. It's that mega flexy stuff your mum used to gang her nets on
