w208 clk, need to remove rubbing strip-how?

I need to remove the rubbing strip on the back bumper, to have it sprayed, can this be done without removing the bumper?
If the bumper does need to come off, how can i do this?

Did this last night, only broke 2 clips, rubbing strip can be removed without removing the bumper.

what do u mean by "rubbing strip"? do you mean the black lower part of the bumper?
