My 1999 CLK 430 requires the plastic Engine Undertray are the Undertrays the same for all 208's ???? I would have thought so, but not sure. I dont know how to access the Parts thing to check If they are .Hopefully I could then get one from any Breaking 208
Thanks

The under tray is a different pt. no. on the 208 dependant on engine variant, one type for the 4 cylinder, and another type for the V6 and V8s.
Not only did the V engine have a different undertray but it also had a slightly different set up to the 4 cylinder engines as it was attached differently to the underneath of the car.
I answered this on the other forum, but what I said has been questioned, but I can assure you this info is taken straight from EPC.
If you read below, then this will give you definitive pt. no.s and compatible donor cars for the part though I bought one for my C43 and it was only about £25 from MB though this was a few years ago now, so will have gone up.
EPC 052-060, Illustration 2, Item 5, A 202 524 01 01 "Protective plate", applicable to the 208365 (CLK320), 208370 (CLK430), and 208374 (CLK55), as well as some 202 applications.
EPC 052-060, Illustration 1, Item 5, A 202 524 04 30 "Panelling (Engine Compartment)", applicable to the 208335 & 208435 (CLK200), 208344, 208345, 208444 & 208445 (CLK200 Kompressor), 208347, 208348, 208447, & 208448 (CLK230 Kompressor), and as above some 202 applications.

Thanks for that Andy (bigasaton ) I have a V6 202 and looking at whats been said It might fit the 430 , still I need another but it might be quick way I can check
so I think I'm looking for one from A CLK 320 or 430 but not a 4 Cyl
and possibly one from a C240 I'll take the one off the 240 see if it fits if it does I have a wider choice of Donor vehicles
Thanks
Boyd

As the 208 was effectively a 202 it would follow that V engined 202s would be also the same, though for some reason I did note that its not the same as a 43 undertray which surprised me as I thought I could of helped you out as I have a new spare one, like I said get a price from MB as I don,t think they are that expensive new.
