clk 230k convertible
my clk 230 compressor has no power it idles smoothly.
I pluged it in and got 0110 (intake temp sensor) and 0100 maf.
A mechanic advised me to unplug the maf and if the performance to replace it.
I tried unplugging the maf but it made no difference.
Any help would be much appreciated Jan.

The mechanic is sort of right but not quite.

You can do a simple test and unplug the MAF, if the car runs better then its a good chance it needs replacing, however the car can run really poor without the MAF depending on how much the throttle body has built up with carbon and the car has had to adjust.

Looking at your codes it would suggest the MAF. If you can swap this with a friends MAF then try this, or just buy a second one of ebay.. BUT please DO NOT buy a non OEM MAF they will fail !!!!! it must be Mercedes or Bosch.

ECP are pretty cheap only £130 when I last looked . These were £350+ a few years ago !

If the MAF looks original or you have never changed it, my advise to to buy a new one (Bosch or Pierburg only) regardless, because simply it will go. Also too it's a great process of elimination.
