w208 Digital Climate Control Module - Is this compatible??

The LCD screen in my climate control module is a bit faulty. It only shows half the pixels and none of the buttons illuminate at night.

I'm going to take it out later and see if I can fix it but if I can't I was wondering if this......

I've replaced the bulbs which has fixed the illumination issue but the LCD is still goosed! Anyone know if other digital climate controls modules will work or does it have to be the exact part number?

hey bud.
I tap the lcd display gently to get the digits back.
I guess these lcd panels are made off China knock off crap quality components.
I guess all MB w202 -208-210 with digital display suffers from this problem?

There is a guy from the US forum who fixed his, I guess it's still good?

The linked ebay climate control unit seems to be the same as yours!
It has duo climate zones, one on each side!

w202 have a cheaper version of this unit 1 zone version.
