Just noticed the outside temp display on my '99 W208 is reading 50 degrees. Now it's nice out but it isn't that nice!

Can anyone tell me where the sender is located for this?

No chance it's reading in F and not C is there ?

50 deg F is about 10 deg C which is what it was today ...

If not the sensor is in the bumper at the front. Looks like a small black pointy thing. (technical term)

Ah it could well be fahrenheit/centigrade. I've never changed it so hadn't considered that. No steering wheel controls on mine but I'll dig out the manual and check!

in that case if it is set to Fahrenheit then I think it may have to be changed by someone with a star... not certain though.

Just checked and it is reading centigrade. I'll have a look in the morning to see if the sender can be identified!

When mine was reading wildly inaccurately I replaced the outside sensor fitted behind the lower grill in the bumper on the passenger side of the car, you need to be looking for something that looks the same as this,
