W208 Heater motor

Hi guys,

Having an issue with my heater motor. Seems fine up to about 3 - 3.5 but any higher then it starts squeeling and stops. I have a feeling the bearing has gone on the motor wheel itself.

I changed on on my 5 series BMW and had to take the entire dash off to get to it. Is it the same thing with the W208 Merc?.

Am I thinking along the right lines or is this a common problem that has a different solution?

Just read an article for removal on a W202.

I'll check the passenger footwell to see if it's in the same place.
