W208 CLK 200K Yr 2000 & W203 C200K Yr 2003
just got my new estatus 2 piece rims from japan. rims width are 18 x 8.5 and 18 x 9.5 for my w208....what sizes are recommeded?

235/40/18 (F) and 265/35/18 (R) or
225/40/18 (F) and 255/35/18 (R)

which would be an ideal tire size? in respect to odometer readings?

thanks

W208 CLK?!?

If so then the 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 sounds correct to me, although you will have very little rim protection considering how wide the wheels are ;)

Obviously double check that these sizes are ok fitments for your rims, but the tyres should be ok for your chassis (ie, keeping the speedo accuracy etc)

HTH :)

Will.. sizes seem correct to me. They are the sizes Brabus fit to that width rim in 18".
ET35 front and ET30 rear, ish??

yup is 35 front and 30 rear....wat abt 235 front and 265 rear....cant resist it hehe...any problems?...so far so good:)

now looking into either h&r lowering springs or eibach...or do you think i should go for the full set up?

Probably not, but why would you want to? If it's good enough for Brabus and Carlsson.. They will have their reasons based on years of engineering experience.

ic....guess is back to the tire shop for a swap.... :(

If you run 235/40 the innner section of the tyre will rub on the suspension mounting, not good....225/40 on the fronts are the largest you can fit without rubbing issues afaik.

I had 235 35 19's on the front without any problems, and 265 30 19's on the rear.

Yes, but those are 19" sizes. There are a few mechanical reasons why everyone has tuv approval for 225/255 with 18" on c/clk/slk and not 235/265 (W/S210 sizes)
