W208 Steering Wheel Switches

I just bought a 2002 CLK320 with 16,000 miles. The switches on the steering wheel were sticky. In removing the sticky material I removed the paint or surface on two switches . How can I replace the switch tops? I hope they are not part of the airbag!! Thanks.

I have removed and replaced my steering wheel and you need an allen key to remove the airbag. The switches you mention are part of the main centre of the wheel and are attached to the airbag assembly. you might be able to obtain the switches separately, try your local MB dealer.
