W209 Air Conditioning Blowing Hot Air

Hi Forum,

My car has been off the road for the last 9 months but the AC was working last summer although not as ice cold as the year before. But this year it just blows hot air so after reading the forums here I took it along to Kwik Fit for a service and regass however sadly it is still blowing hot air. They gave me a full refund though!

Please any ideas would be much appreciated as I just dont have the cash to spend £800 on a new compressor from the stealers!

Search for duo valve either on here or google.

I think mercedes benz owners forum diy section show how to strip and repair it.

Worth a clout with a screwdriver as it may be stuck.

Out of interest, does the duo valve manage the up down flow of air as well as side to side?

Pretty certain its just the temp side of things.

Standing for 9 months is a giveaway clue. Corrosion or ceasure of the duo valve stem is usually the culprit to look for. Best to completely replace. Good luck
