Easy. Put in neutral, pop up centre trim surrounding gear knob (don’t need to remove), release the two plastic tabs at bottom of ashtray, remove & disconnect wire connector.
The plastic tabs securing the ashtray are normally hidden under the wood surround on the gear lever. lift up the gear lever surround first, then you will see the tabs on the black metal frame between where the wood attached and where the ashtray still is. Push the tabs to release & out pops the ashtray.
That's the easy bit, I've always found the power connector to be a real swine to shift.
