Hi there

Just bought myself a lovely W209 CLK 320, but quite disappointed with the Audio 10 fitted as standard.

Plus, it's fitted with the traffic master sat nav, and not keen on that either!

Could I aquire an Audio 50 for it, and if so, what model do I need?

Or, should I replace with something different, while keeping all of the steering wheel controls working?

Thanks

Neil

There is some good info on THIS site.
Select your model from the drop down list followed by the area of interest and away you go.
You may want to consider a COMAND unit but not everyone is impressed by it.

You may want to post the year of your vehicle as I think this matters where part numbers are concerned.

I just bought a W209 280 Sport last month that came with COMAND and I think the sound quality is poor.

Thanks for the advice - i've got a 2004 (04) W209 CLK 320

I have comand 2 and I think the audio is pretty damn good. It is let down badly by the poor satnav, 5 digit post codes and no Speed warnings. If it was to die on me then I would go for one of those double din touch panel jobs with decent satnav. I can live without the additional display on the cluster

I have a 2005 W209 with Comand, and I think the sound is pretty good as well.

I started to worry about the occasional very low frequency thumps while driving to work in the morning, until I realised it was the R4 Today presenters bumping into the furniture.

I would agree with Markmifsud about the satnav 'features' as well.

Ian.
