All,
Just purchased a new 2004 w209 CLK Cabrio and must say i am over the moon so far, however after a sunny weekend and the roof going up and down multiple times i came across an issue with the roof when up, i noticed that a small piece of leather was protruding in the area of the rear glass, Having searched on other forums it would appear that this is due to a loosening of the tensioning cables inside the roof.
I found this heath robinson solution Material protuding from aft window of Ragtop - Page 2 - Mercedes-Benz Forum however dont really just want to zip tie it i would rather get the problem solved.
Has anyone done this is it a DIY job or something best left to a specialist trimmer? If anyone who has done it could provide any pics of what needs doing that would be great.
Thanks in advance.
