Hello, I recently had ECU tune done on my 5.0 w209 to get pops and bangs (link:
). I got many warnings from car guys that this will fuk up my cats. I have removed secondary cats so they cant be hurt. Now one of primary cats started making weird sound (a piece of metal blew off of the catalytic converter). Cat lasted for 3 months (during these 3 months I did those bangs like ALOT (they occur when I tap the gas pedal after 2,3-3k rpm).
My question to you is:
should I remove primary cats aswell and make the car full straight pipe (currently no muffler, resonator and sec cats) OR
buy a new primary cat and not do that many bangs with my car
second option leads me to searching for a new cat (left one), I am located in Estonia.
