It's in front of the rear axle on drivers side.
There's a plastic tray covering filter and pump.
If you haven't replaced fuel filter for many years you will definitely notice an increase in fuel consumption.
Don't forget to replace all perished vacuum hoses around intake otherwise your car could run very lean.
Good thing is to also replace spark plugs
