You have an M113 V8 the C63 engine in your video has the same number of cylinders and is Normally aspirated. But the similarity kind of ends there. Lot's of reasons why you will not get an M113 to sound like that, number of valves, cam timing ,length of headers peak power/rpm etc. etc.

But you are obviously half way there with chopping the exhaust on your car so you may as well carry on

I replied to this thread before you got involved and commented on its original age and then the fact that there were two threads. Why does it need to effect me to make a comment - is that a new rule on this forum now is it ? - The OP asked for a comment and got it, and not just from me . Trust me his car is going to sound $hit for everyone who hears it as it drives on public roads, most will look at him thinking 'nob' , except for a few teenagers. Thankfully it is in Estonia where we can not hear it.

My car sounds good thanks, because I have not messed around with the exhaust system, granted I have toyed with the idea of gutting the secondary cats but can't bring myself to do it on a car that is quite rare...but unfortunately not rare enough to be worth a fortune !!

My car doesnt sound shit at all Just a good old staright pipe V8 rumble. My parents like it, my friends like it and I have never seen anyone look at it with disgust or anger. Always just people looking if what car is it that makes the sound. It also looks very beautiful (imo) and usually people give the angry look when the car which makes the sound, looks like an old fart machine. Even though the vehicle is 2004 (produced til 2009) it still looks newer than many similiar bodystyle cars between 2008-2012. Heres 2 pics of it :=)

Hello,

I have pre-fl straight pipe clk 500. When I drive and let the revs fall from 3000 to 2000 rpm and meanwhile tap the gas pedal softly then the car makes somewhat quiet pops and banks. Is there a way to tune the car to make those pops and banks stronger? As in to let the fuel map dump more fuel into the exhaust system etc. Maybe someone else e500/cls500/sl500 owner etc has done this before?

I'm sure if you talk to a MB specialist like MSL they can probably map in more aggressive pops. Might even help to change the exhuast from cat back so still MOT friendly but just get rid of the silencers

Just seen your not from the UK are you. Talk to any good tuning company near you and see if they can add in some aggressive pops
