Hi All

I am pretty convinced that my W209 had the easy entry/exit procedure where the steering wheel would move out the way.

Now I am not 100% certain as I drove a s class for a while which did have that and I may be confusing the 2.

Is there any way to check if the car has this feature? Or does someone have a w209 and can confirm either way? Mines has all the toys such as full memory seats etc.

Have you tried scanning through the cluster menu options?

If it has full electric memory seats it should have the easy entry function. It needs to be enabled in one of the settings menus if I remember correctly.

Thanks guys, I will take a look when I get back home. Could have sworn I had the feature!

The battery did go flat some time back and maybe that feature was reset to off.

The steering wheel can stick too and stay in the same position so check it will move in all directions to ensure it is free!

I can move the steering wheel using the column adjustment stalk and will move it in all directions as you suggest. Thanks

I think that the easy entry system is the first or one of the first items to be switched off if the battery is run down. This is definitely the case for my R230.

Just a quick update. All working again, the low battery must have reset the settings. I had to go into Convenience settings as mentioned in the posts above and all sorted. Now just need a battery as after a few days the voltage drops to 11.8v, tops up again fine after a drive so suspect battery is on the way out.
