I love the CLK's timeless design. It is sporty yet classy, aggressive and sexy. It inspires you to relax and cruise for no apparent reason and it stands out almost at every trim level. Yet I believe, it needs a refreshment. To be honest I never owned a car worth an upgrade and the CLK the first car I owned which justifies the expenses. The scale of what I am after is scary, but looking around on the forum there is plenty of inspiring projects such as the one from KillerHERTZ and other HOWTO threads which really facilitate the hole process.
Where should I start?
I have divided my plan in to phases:
Phase 1 upgraded look(ET 12 months):
LED tailights (Done)
New Front grille (Done)
Full LED interior/number plate (Done)
Aluminium Pedals (Ordered)
New headlights(Ordered)
Tinted back windows (November)
Sports Bumper/skirts/ rear bumper/ spoiler (December-January)
Painting Interior cranberry red ( December 15)

Phase 2 performance upgrade (ET 12 months)
New radio sound system(May 2015)
New exhaust system/possibly quad (June 2015)
New air intake system (July 2015)
Engine remap (August 2015)
Sports suspension (December 2015)

Pictures to come!

Few pics!

Where did you get the LED rear lights from. Do they work ok with the electrics or does it think there's a bulb blown?

Do you have to fit those extra reflectors to make them street legal???

Could you not stick them on the actual light lenses, at the bottom in the red area?

I got these from a German Ebay seller. You won't find them in UK. They got resistors built in so they are CANBUS error free.

The reflectors came with the packet. I have noticed that the LED part also reflects light so I don't think it's needed. One of the guys one my other thread said that his has passed MOT without them. Really I just fitted them to see how it would look and it's absolutely horrendous. They were off the same day. I was surprised I wasn't thrown eggs in my face for this :)

New headlights fitted!

Lights look interesting with black insides, really don't like the DRL's though...

I have seen these headlights on ebay and think they look pretty cool. What were they like to fit?

Is that the lights? looks like they've got a halo ring in them as well? As previously said, design looks cool, not really keen DRL's especially if there's a halo ring too.

But as long as you're happy, its just my opinion :) is that xenon in there or halogen?

MERCEDES CLK W209 2004-2009 BLACK LED DRL DAYLIGHT RUNNING LIGHTS HEADLIGHTS | eBay

Same as those ones, it's just a German dealer I will attach a link later. Payed 299 Inc shipping. He insured they are right hand drive.

You could fit aftermarket HID but they are not compatible with original MB HIDs wich I didnt have anyway. Headlight itself seems good quality not sure about design but the car seems so fresh and looks good as a package. I don't think will work well with other car colors except black.

Not connected the halo ring yet. I just think it's too much. I will connect them later just to see how they look. For now, 3 hours in the rain is about enough( pouring all day today) :(

Connected the halo rings today.
