My parking brake light is sticking on when I release :-(

Reading elsewhere, as long as there are no other problems it is likely to be an issue of the brake quadrant needing lubrication.

Fair enough, but I need access to a panel underneath the rear seat.

Does anyone know the process for removing the rear seat?

Two ways you can do this, one is removing the seat as you mention. I think there are 4 metal brackets of the seat which are bolted to the seat floor with 13mm nuts. If you look just under the seat cushion you should see 4 plastic covers, prise these off to uncover the brackets.

The other way would be to acces the car from underneath and just lube it from there, you can get to the same component but if the cable needs adjusting you will still need to remove the seats to do this.

Have you checked the brake fluid level, this can cause the parkin brake light to stay on also.

Hi Smuggler!

Thanks for the advice -shame its starting to get dark here as I read your message otherwise I would have gone out to play :D

I'll check the brake fluid first, but I think attacking the car from the underside will be more straight forward!
