W209 Transmission dipstick?

So, first bit of help required ladies and gents.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a suitable transmission dipstick for my new to me '03 CLK240?

Previous owner informed me there is a slight leak on the transmission and before I investigate that further I'd like to able to at least monitor the level.

And I assume once armed with a dipstick the procedure is to check with the transmission up to temperature and check with the engine running?

Any particular sort/size/brand? I watched an (I think) FCP Euro video and the dipstick they used was a massively long thing that I assume covers different models.

You need to buy the correct one for the gearbox type I'd imagine .

Don't worry about the length (oo, err missus) . It covers many models , it's the length and markings on the plastic part on the end that matters. That bit bottoms out on the transmission sump and shows hot ATF and cold ATF levels.

Yes engine running, in park.

Once hot move selector through each gear and back again. The top of the dipstick has a measurement on it in degrees something like 86 can't remember ottomh. It also has a cold measurement on tother end.
