W210 2002 avantgarde, front bumper removal

How do I remove the front bumper as I understand you need to in order to remove the headlight (my xenon ballast unit has fried)

If its anything like a w202 which I think it will be, have a look at my HOWTO thread.

There should be 2 visible bolts ether side of the headlights (with the bonnet open) undo these + another 2 which will be behide the outside plastic 'grill' trim. this trim will need to be pulled open.

just found out the d2r bulb has blown, so no longer need to remove bumper & headlight to change the ballast/ignitor unit...just $140 for a bulb instead of $400 for the ballast unit
