Anyone confirm that its the peg in the hub which i remove in order to fit the balljoint at the moment theres a locating peg in the balljoint and also one coming out of the hub Thanks

I think the correct answer is to remove the pin from the Hub assy but it doesnt want to come I have tried ;
penetrating Oil
Heat 25-30 secs on the blowtorch
Cold - spraying it with "freeze your nuts off"
Got Mole grips on it it wont turn or gently lever out :wallbash:
I am worried about snapping it in Situ
so possible i'm on to removing the guide pin from the new balljoint and leaving the old guide pin in place
But it would be nice to do it properly
 
I'd leave it in place and remove the new one, that's if the old one's not too distorted from your efforts.
 
unfortunately the pin stuck in was slightly longer than depth of the hole in the new balljoint so it had to come out, perseverence with the blowtorch & penetrant spray and mole grips eventually eased it out :thumb:
