W210 centre armrest removal

I need to replace the (front) centre armrest lid on my facelift W210 - as far as I can see, there are plastic pins for the hinge and damper which need to be removed. Does anyone have any idea how these are removed? I don't want to break anything!

Just open the lid and remove the two small torx screws holding the complete hinge onto the console.

Hi Gordon,
if it is all the lid you want to remove it has to star screws either side at the back base of the lid. You can feel them with your hand at either side. You can access them with a short star key while the lid is fully open.

I have changed mine to a lether stitched one and also have another spare in black. A spare full console as well. Simple job. I hope this helps.
