Hi all(Druk),
The timing is set at 14o!
The pump is set 180o!
The dots on the cam cogs are lined up!
:fail
The car is not knocking so much and idling better and has torque enough to move it's self in drive(without throttle), however what we have now is;
No acceleration.
Still not smooth.
It is now smoking like a chimney.

What we've done now is removed the pump to return it to Merc breaker in the morning. The car sounds and feels like it is being starved of fuel, so it seems that there is not enough pressure being produced by this pump. It is the only thing we can think off :wallbash:

Just one other thing.
When each metal fuel line is loosened at injectors when engine is running the pressure coming out is not anywhere near what it should be.
This is why we think it is the second hand pump at fault.
