W210 E Class 3rd brake light question

Can anyone remember how to remove the bulb from the 3rd brake light on a pre-facelift W210 E Class?

My brother, who lives in the States has asked me but it is so long since I've owned one I can't remember. The one on my Facelift E55 is different. Cheers.

Press tne two tabs in wards than pull the cover off , this will give acess to the buld

I think he has already removed the cover but can't seem to release the bulb holder?
