W210 E300 DT intermittent starting

My father in law has a problem with his E300 DT not starting. He has been into the local Mercedes dealer twice so far and had the following replaced at a cost of £640.

All fuel pipes
The non return valve
The air pipes on the inlet manifold
2 fuel filters


The problem persists and he is booked into the garage for a third time in a couple of weeks.

Are there any other parts of the fuel system which could be at fault or do you think the garage have been focusing on the wrong area?

We had a look at this over the weekend and found fuel leaking out of the new non return valve.

Will be interesting to hear if the garage can bring forward the appointment as they said previously that the earliest they can look at it is the 14th June.

Was very disappointed to see that the mess made by the previous fuel leak had not been cleaned during the above work.
