Hello everyone

My car is fitted with a cabin heater for pre heating the car before the engine is warm. I understand that this only works when the outside temperature is below 5 degrees and the switch light next to the cigar socket is not illuminated.
My conclusion is that mine is broken.

Does anyone know how to service or repair these?

Is there any common faults to start of with?

Would really appreciate some help as I'm freezing my **** of on these frosty mornings.

Many thanks

Adrian

I think it is safe to say that you will be lucky to find a good/working one that doesn't break down.

Common fault, mine has never worked.

Well I'm a fussy git and believe that everything can be repaired so I will strip it down and have a go.

I'll keep you all posted with the progress.

In the mean time if anyone has any idea on how it's done please let me know.

I think this means 'dash out'?

That's more than '4 Haynes spanners' to me..

I think it is a Webasto (spelt correctly?) unit, located near the O/S/F wing. If you find the coolant tank, there is a pipe that goes down to the unit IIRC
