Sorry thats better

Yea but just thought the bushes need changing. Does this mean a new shock?

Stupid question time. I cant see where it bolts to inside the rear arch. Or dose the sturt screw into the body?

I've never done one.

You will probably have to remove the panels on each side of the load bay.

good find with the instructions but is that not a saloon and the car in question an estate?
if estate then I think you have to remove the wheel arch covers.
Undo and remove the luggage hold points, the centre pops up with a lever and a torx type bit required to remove the hidden screws.
A screw hidden at the tailgate end of the panel and a screw hidden where the top of the panel meets the arch roof panel, also some hidden clips behind the door seal, followed by some snatch pulling and levering, then a rubber map type thing that pulls off over the wheel arch.
Im sure that is as clear as mud and very little help :wallbash:
Its how I found it when removing the panels to dynamat the car but i'm sure there is a proper way :D

with the panel removed the top of the shock is visible on the flat bit near where the arch meets it nearish the front

Thanks, I was aware it's a saloon in the link...but better than nothing...and I did say in the previous post that the side panel would have to be removed.

If I get a second hand sturt dose it have to be off an elegance? Like mine. And mine is the face lift one. So dose it have to be off the face lift as well?

Weld a bolt/studding onto the top of the existing strut and refit it.

Struts should be replaced in matched pairs.

I doubt it, the body has been jacked up off it.

Cheers for the info lads. All sorted for £30 from the scrappy :)
