Hi Chaps,

I have been offered a 2001 silver e55, which i believe is a facelift model, it does have the newer style kit with deeper skirts, sat nav, two tone leather etc..

The mileage is 80k which does not seem bad.

Would would this be worth, i have looked all over the internet and cannot seem to find 2001 saloon e55 facelift for sale?

Thanks in advance

£7000 max if it has full MB history, all the toys and is mint which I doubt. Check carefully for rust around the arches.

Hi and welcome.

There have been many threads with people expressing their differing views on a car's value.

If this car is unique to you, for any given reason, then it will have a higher value to you. Others may not agree on the value, but I'd argue that's not the point.

How much is he asking?

he wants 6k for it, because the sat nav is faulty but can buy another on ebay for 300.00 or put a aftermarket double din with mp3/dvd playback?

I think 6k seems to be a good price, i have seen pre facelift for sale around 7-8k but whether they sell for that is another story.

Thanks

On the face of it £6k sounds good.

Like with all cars, give it a thorough check over first. Rust, service records, brakes, tyres can significantly influence the price.

Do you have a local MB specialist where you can get the car plugged into a Star diagnostic machine?
