W210 E55 AMG - Designo Purple, how many made?

Can anyone help me? I've got an E55 AMG in Designo Purple, and I think it's beautiful!

I'm trying to find out how many came out of the factory in this colour, any ideas?!

Great colour - I think I've only ever seen two W210 E55s that weren't either black or silver, one is yours and the other one was blue.

Are you selling the car? I've seen the same photo on a recent advert on the Car and Classic website here.

I am a new member but my question was genuine and I have no connection to the OP - I am on the lookout for a good W210 E55 though!

I was intrigued to read the original post and then to see the car advertised for sale on the same day the post appeared, or at least the same photo used...
