Just took delivery of a Year 2000 W210 Estate. Got a question on the cup holders in the rear central armrest. Owner's manual says "press the cup holders in and release so that it slides out a little...". However, on mine, as soon as the arm rest is pulled down from the back, the cup holder immediately ejects alittle. I don't seem to be able to get it to click in, so pushing the armrest back into position is a bit tricky.

Is it broken (if so is it repairable) or is it designed like that (surely not)?

why not take a picture of the cup holders and post a picture up describing where the problem is that way we can help you out better

He means the tray with the cup holders in wont latch into the armrest.
It sounds like the catch is u/s.

Try removing the whole tray and see if the catch is broken or stuck.

Any suggestions how to remove the tray from the rear armrest? I just tried to remove it and it would budge. Is there suppose to be a catch or button(s) to press to get the tray assembly out of the armrest?
