W210 estate retro fit 7 seat option

I was wondering if it is an easy job to retro fit the extra back seats and seat belts in the boot of a W210 estate to make it a 7 seater.

Has anybody tried this or investigated it before?

I dont think that it would be too diffacult to fit them to a 210 . I have fitted them too 211 and it was easy . All the mounting points and bolt holes will already be there . The rear side panels will have to be changed to alow for seat belts , so if you are buying from a breaker make sure all the parts are there , or even better remove them your self . What colour is you interior ? I think that we have a grey cloth set in work , with elegance pattern

Actually I haven't got a car yet, but I'm looking hard. After a few months looking and not yet finding the right car, I thought that if retrofitting the 7 seat option is feasible then I will be able to widen my search to include 5 seaters.

It's the mounting points I'm worried about. If they are definitely there, then it should be a piece of cake, like building meccano (but bigger). If the mounting points are not there, then things would be awkward. Especially for the top seat belt mounting -does it hang off the ceiling or the pillar?

The extra seat belts do mount to the roof , the mounting points are up there , i dont think the head liner has to be changed

What car did these come from - W210 or W211? Do you have all the bits I would need or just the seats themselves? How much do you want for them, and where are you? (PM me if you like).
