Hi. I would like to know if anyone has attempted this? Way to expensive in a dealers and have details from someone in America but would really like information from someone in the UK
regards

Yep did mine a while ago not hard, so long as you can undo the unions under the dryer unit located behind the bumper under the washer bottle you will be okay, access from underneath.

Be careful when refitting as the unions on the evap end are alloy so easily damaged, catch the o-rings as well.

Remove grill, cooling fans and the bumper ubder air dam.

Got it from auto air con parts also called cool car ltd, cost £84.54 delivered to my door:)

Item number AACP16-6585-9202, also listed as 16-6585.

No sorry i bet very few people have ever done their own as to scared by all the stories of a/c, i had a look at the american diy looks very helpful, http://mercedesshop.com/Wikka/W210Evaporator

I think i would do mine as the replacement value from mb would be worth more than the car:D
