Hello people,

I have a facelift W210 E240 with manual knob type heater controls. My fan is stuck on, even when I take the keys out. It was working fine, then I attempted to turn the heater off, as I went through teh controls it turned down as normal, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 then on 0 it bombed right back up to full blast. Now 0 is full blast and any other setting is 0.5 or 1 in power when the engine is on, and when the engine is off it stays around 0.5 to 1 on any setting. I've tried pulling a bunch of fuses to cut it off so I dont flatten the battery but to no avail. Any help anyone can urgently give me so I can still use my car in the morning would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Andrew

It maybe the blower regulator that is at fault. Take the passenger side dash under panle off (3 philips screws) and disconnect the motor. It is a obvious connector under there.

The connector connects to the regulator. To remove the reg take the square cover off. The reg looks like a half moon hedgehog.

Thank you, problem delayed for now!
