W210 Front Offside Wheel - Bearing?

I have just noticed a problem my offside front wheel. When under load [ie turning left at any reasonable speed] the level of noise increases, like a loud tyre roar.

The car tracks straight and behaves in all other respects [no excessive or uneven tyre wear], and there are no other obvious suspension noises. Is it likely to be wheel bearing wear/failure?

jack it up and move the wheel top to bottom
