Hi All,

can anyone reccomend a product that would allow me to "update/uplift" to new areas of my grey leather interior which is in many areas, abraded quite badly?

Thanks

Mark

When you put it on it is slightly lighter than the original but dries to the correct colour, i found dabbing light coats rather than wiping worked better. Also when dry it was more matt than the original so its a good idea to put a little leather conditioner on it when you are happy with it to make the leather look the same over the complete repair area.

I ordered the repair kit from Dynamix last week for the driver's seat bolster where it had started to show signs of slight wear with me getting in and out. I am very very pleased with the result. So much so I now regret not taking some 'before' pictures just to show how good the repair is.......

However... I then decided the passenger seat needed refreshed and I was a little over enthusiastic with the application ( read, sluttered it on )..... It dried with very uneaven shades. Following the 'now I've made an ar*e of it' section, I bought some celulose thinners, removed all the new dye and started again, as instructed, with a few very thin coats and the result is perfect. Great texture, colour match and feel. After applying the leather conditioner, my car now smells 8 weeks old rather than 8 years old too...

10/10 from me :thumb:

I would seriously recommend thoroughly cleaning your leather first, all of the seats, not just the one you are refinishing.
You can use something like AutoGlym leather cleaner spray or some watered down all purpose household cleaner like flash, but mix is 10:1 with water.
Then use a pretty firm brush and scrub like mad to get all the dirt and grease out of the original leather, this will get it looking matte again.

Then apply new dye, it will be easier to see what really needs doing and if you need to do other seats easier to match, as the drivers seat normally has more dirt in it, so will look more shiney, do your steering wheel as well, you will get that nice spongey fell back rather than something that feels like plastic. ;)

The Dynamix repair kit comes with an excellent leather cleaner for before and a superb conditioner for afterwards.

looks great product im going to give that a try thanks for the post guys
