mercedes e320cdi w210
i have mercedes e320cdi w210 and have problems with a heater. the heater wasnt working before i bought this car and it started to work today.
the problem is that i cant turn it off. the only way to turn it off is disconnect a battery neg. terminal. if i try to do something on heater control panel it doesnt really do any changes even blower setting is set to 0(it still blows the air). so i got flattened battery very quickly.
tried to remone fuse 4 and 7 under the hood.that didnt help either.
how could i shut the blower off.
any suggestions what could be wrong? thanks.

I had this problem with mine a while ago. If my memory serves me right the resistor on the blower has gone & needs replacing. You can get a recon one for around £30/£35.
The heater blower is located in the passengar footwell under the glove box & is quite easy to do. Hope I am correct and this helps

thanks for info PJH123.
is possible to check that resistor with multimeter if its faulty or not?

have removed a resistor today and the blower stopped workin. does it mean that resistor is faulty?

Thanks fo rthis posting....
I have the same issue with my 320CDi and will be trying the Resistor/regulator fix thanks....
