W210 rear legroom question

Gents,
I'm just starting the search for an E-Class W210 and wondered if anyone can help answer a question for me. Im 6'5" and as a result the drivers seat will need to be right down and all the way back. I'm currently using an 05 Mondeo (no comments!!) and there's almost enough room to put the rear facing seat behind my drivers seat, but i wondered if anyone can tell me is there going more rear legroom in the E-Class than the Mondeo.
I know i can go and look at one but i'm in northampton and finding one to look at isn't as easy, or as near, as i'd hoped!!

Many thanks

Not having sat very often in the rear of my W210 many times, I have just pushed the drivers seat right back and there is a gap of only 6" between the rear of the drivers seat and the front edge of the rear seat.

I'm 6' 0" tall, and I'd imagine being another 5" taller would make it very snug if you were to be sat in the back. But then, you aren't looking to buy an E Class to sit in the back yourself are you?:D

Sorry, haven't sat in an 05 Mondeo so I cannot compare the two, but I will say an S Class does give appreciably more rear leg room. Id compare the E and S as economy and business class on a jet;)

There is more leg room in the w210 that the mondeo, it's not just leg room in the w210 the seat is higher from the floor meaning the passengers can put there feet under the seats, i take a size 14 shoes and i'm only 6.2" and this is the best car for getting in and out, my sister car put her 0+ car seat behind the driver seat no probs with the seat all the way back.
