Hi chaps,

Can anyone advise on hold to fix the lever which releases the double set of rear seats in a W210 estate please?

I pull the lever and nothing gives, no click no release - nothing!!! Very annoying indeed!!!

I suspect it will be like an old Shogun issue i had where its just the cable has come off the rocker, but i cant see how to get into it to be able to release it and fix the issue and i dont want to damage the seat in trying!

All advice hints tips welcome.

Thx in advance.

The handle will be broken inside. You need to take the headrests out and take the top panel off the seat. You should be able to unlatch the seat. The handle comes complete with the locking mech so don't worry about damaging it, it's about £20 from MB

LOL - i'm still waiting for teh head rests to be supplied ! Due in from dealer today :)

So how do you release the top panel itself? are there specific points at which to insert a screw driver or some such device???

And any idea on part number or where to get part number for the locking mech please?

I can't PM with my small post count, and the PDF file is too big for my limit as well. Sorry.
