Hi,
I would like to ask you a question about the wiper on the w210. I have 1999 model and the wiper suddenly stopped working in the middle of a wipe. Now I have to stop the car at intervals to do a manual wipe. If we are two persons in the car, we both get out because it is a lot quicker. Somehow the wiper arm is disconnected from the wiper motor, because it is very easy to wipe by hand. When the main motor is off I can hear that the wiper motor is running when I turn it on.
It is holiday time in Norway and the nearest open car repair is hours of driving away. So I was thinking of might trying to fix it with some gaffa and gum. What do you think about that? I have seen some descriptions here on this excellent forum, and I can see that is possible to dismount the wiper.
For a more permanent repair, what cost could I expect?
