Hi All,
My E280 CDI Sport has asked me for some early Xmas presents, namely a replacement pair of front shock absorbers and pair of front springs (both spring and shock having failed on the OSF side).
I have sourced the correct springs for my car from Taunton Mercedes, colour-coded with 3 yellow stripes and 1 green stripe Merc Part No: A211 321 0504.
Would anybody be able to tell me please whether my car would've been fitted with a 'sport'-variant shock or whether the Sachs shock originally fitted (Merc Part Nos: A211 320 0613 now A211 323 9300 cross-referenced with Sachs Part Nos: 80 4904 553 484 now 317 348) was fitted to all variants, i.e. Avantgarde, comfort, standard, and sport, at factory?
There are quite a few Sachs 317 348 shocks on eBay (one pair can be bought for £179 on there for example) but I'm concerned that they might not be the exact replacement for my car and sport suspension, which is giving me a headache.
Could anyone help me with this please and pinpoint exactly what I need to purchase - and possibly give me outlets to contact directly, phone nos. and websites, etc.?
