So!
I've just had a quote of £190.00 for a new battery from Mercedes Benz dealership for my W211 (2006) E320 CDI Estate.
That is the price including VAT and not fitted.
I expect these kind of prices but, I want to investigate some options so, I have a couple of questions.
(classic Mercious: all take and no give. I never seem to offer any advice here and am eternally needy with my banal questions).
Anyway, I've had the car for four years and it has the Volvo battery that was fitted to the car when I got it. I've never had any problems with this battery. I changed the auxiliary battery re the back-up for the braking a couple of years ago and fitted the exact replacement.
So, what is the best battery to get for my car? Of course, we are years away from the old days of 'wet' batteries so, what does new technology afford me and basically, what battery would you fit to my ageing vehicle?
I want the best quality battery using the best technology.
I've got a battery pack and could probably fit the battery myself but, I'll give the work to the battery people.
I'll probably get it from a battery specialist auto factors I know: any ideas of a battery model number would help.
Thank you in advance.
The other thing is (so needy) what exactly does Service D involve on this car?
I'm a bit out of whack with the service intervals due to having that major de-coking job done in the summer of 2019 when the car was in the garage for forty-seven days getting about five grands worth of work done for £2,700.00 plus they loaned me a van.
I can look all this up but, I'm just being cheeky. Saying this, I do respect the site and know this is the best place to come for good and honest advice.
It's either here or kidnapping Kent Bergsma.
Thanks again.
