W211 Air Suspension - How Reliable?

Are there any common faults with the air suspension as fitted standard on the E500? Is it more/less reliable than the hydro-pneumatic fitted to the R230? How expensive is it to maintain/repair?

They are pretty good actually. They suffer with pumps failing but normally thats at 100k+. About £400 fitted

The rear bellows have issues but not often. They are very expensive at £1500 ish fitted for a pair.
