W211 Audio 50 APS can I fit my ipod?

How can I fit my ipod nano to enable it to be controlled via my steering wheel and plai in my '03 E320 CDI?
I have seen posts which explain the fitting with Command, but none with the audio 50.

Can anyone help please?

I have a feeling the connectors involved on the rear of the APS50 will be the same. I know that Audio20 connectors and comand are the same so why not the APS50!

Have you looked at the thread I started a day or two ago?

Miro may well be better placed to give you a definitive answer.

APS 50 does not have an AUX port ? Am I wrong ?

You need that AUX socket to make the Mercedes kit work.

The factory ipod kit, i thought slotted in between the existing connector and the comand unit. It certainly does on the A/B and c class. However the E (W211) may well be different.

Well for starters if the car doesnt have an audio gateway in the rear left you will not be slotting anything in.

I suspect that when dealing with the E class the lessons learned from A, B, C do not all apply.

MB were categorical in telling me that the iPod could not be fitted to my 2005 E280CDI, whereas they fitted it to my wife's B Class.

If your E-class does not have COMAND then they are right.

I agree. Having looked into it further, then I am reminded why I have nothing to do with E class comand retrofits!

just got 2010 mercedes S212 with Audio 50Aps does it akcept reversing camera.
