I appear to have an intermittent fault with my battery.

Although it appears to charge perfectly, every couple of days I find that the battery is completely discharged.

There are no lights left on, doors open or anything else obvious. I have not started 'fuse pulling' but am thinking of A. have a capacity discharge test done and if it is healthy B. Get the local indie to put it on Star to see if he can find it.

Would you agree with what I'm proposing or is there something else I should do first:confused:

Thanks in advance.

How old is the battery?

Has it been replaced in the last 5 years?

I would see what the drain is and start pulling fuses personally, it is free and can be done at home. But might just be old.

Is your alarm working?

The reason I ask, is that if the siren is unplugged the car will flash the hazards and flatten the battery.

In my experience star is not that accurate at pin pointing battery drains on cars of this age.

The tried and trusted method of pulling fuses with a multimeter will narrow it down, and its free.
