Seems even after replacing the oem radio unit that I looks like I’ve still got battery drain !! Don’t know if a knackered heater blower would cause it ? Will have to connect my diagnostic again maybe tomorrow and watch the voltage as I turn electric on n off.....

My E320 has always had one. Bigger battery helped but longer than a few days sat still in the cold and I get the message about convenience features.

Because I don’t use the car for up to two weeks at a time, trickle charger is the way to go. Keep it plugged in in between. Not ideal but works for me.

convenience features disabled always showed on my 04 e320 . In the colder months . Even with a brand new g14 fitted. Trickle charger is the answer.

+1 The W211 in particular seems very power hungry and the convenience disabled function was often showing on mine , even with a new battery after less than a week of being unused.

Haha I'm spotting a them in these replies!!

Yea I have a trickle charger tucked away in the boot, on standby lol. Hmm these w211s esp 2003 it seems are a nightmare lol

Yep mine is a 2003 albeit an early one on a 52 plate.

If they’re used for a decent stint every day they’re ok or at least I found mine was. It was when it was not used for 3 days+ it started to misbehave.

Sometimes my car will do it after just one night sat on the drive....

Then you still have a current drain or the battery is getting tired and due for replacement.
Its understandable for the convenience functions to not work when its freezing cold, but its comparatively mild right now. Are you getting the error message now?

Only replaced the main battery 18 months ago and the aux battery isn’t much older...... that’s why I think the heater booster and mirror adjustment is causing open/ short that is draining the battery.... the old audio unit was part of the cause but I’ve replaced that now....
