Hi all

I need to change from the standard e55 amg setup to something more adequate now.

Ive been given a lot of helpful advice from Alx and roughly know what route I should be going down and who to use.
But wondered if anyone has any experience or recommendations please.

Many thanks

To be fair Alex has the best setup for the money.

The only other options are the Brabus Alcon setups. Which I missed out on last year and still a sore point ARRRRGH!

Would W211 E63 brakes fit?

Must be something avail in a scrapies

ive been searching all the different Ebays for some brabus/Alcons. I think I will be in for a long wait before any come up.

Where were you looking on John?

I'm not that clued up in the differences between the models brakes. Worth a look.
Thanks

I know there was an upgrade available on SL's and the CLS. Was it is F1 package or something.

We have big brake kits available

They vary on what you will be using it for ?

Our 6 Piston Forged Fronts with 360mm 2 piece discs out perform the stock setup by miles and will shed around 20kgs of unsprung mass.

Options are upgraded rotors (388mm or 410mm), Light weight discs (saw Design) and Bigger callipers (8 or 12)

May be of interest :)

We also have stock C63 Items on the shelf that would work :)

What's rough cost Matt for 410mm?
CLS 55 and would my ET 25 & 28 still be ok

The W211 E63 has 2 piece floating discs and bigger calipers iirc

I would recommend 388mm on a 6 piston as that will easily do a CLS.

410mm will limit you to 20 inch plus wheels and only certain designs.

Price is around £2100 plus VAT - Includes Calipers, Rotors, Bells, Pads, Brackets, Stainless Lines and Bolts.

Consumables are much cheaper too :)

Matt, do you guys have a demo car with the big brake system installed?

We have them on an A45 here in the UK to look at or we have detailed pictures if it helps.

The rest are fitted on international vehicles.

55K cars already have 8 piston front calipers from factory.

also, steels line supposed to be problematic due to SBC.

how much just for lightweight 360mm front discs? weight please?

OEM is 15.6kg each

same question for 330mm rear discs. OEM is 9.72kg.

thanks.

Our Calipers are Forged for increased strength plus pads are wider too giving better efficiency.

Our light weight fronts are 6.8 KGs

Rears are about .8 of a KG lighter.

Hi Mat

Do your 360mm discs work with the standard AMG (CL55) calipers?

Im afraid not a the disc design is different.

We do a ceramic option that will fit directly.

That kit (Discs and pads) is approx £2.5k plus VAT. benefits are much longer life and no brake dust.

is this a straight swap with OEM disc/pads (assuming CLS55 and CL55 have the same discs/pads)?

who makes the ceramic discs and pads?

If it is a straight swap for the CLS 55,is it for both front and rear?
