W211 'Bonnet open' warning

After polishing under the bonnet of my E320 the other day I now have a persistent bonnet open warning as soon as the car is in motion.

As the bonnet is firmly shut I am assuming I have disturbed a sensor or managed to get polish on it,however I just cannot find the sensor at all. Can anyone help ?

The car is a 2004 E320 CDi

The near-side bonnet catch has a wiring connector going in to it. A good place to start?

After being baffled by this for a few days shortly after posting I drove down to the MOT station for the test and found the fault had cleared itself !

Glad it's sorted. Maybe that latch wasn't quite properly home, but it obviously is now!
