W211 Comand NTG 2.5 Anti-theft

Hi!

I recently retrofitted an NTG 2.5 into my W211. The unit is one of the first ones from 2008 (version 08.13) and the firmware is older than 06/2009 which means that Anti-theft is not currently installed.

My question is this:

If I upgrade to the newest firmware (with anti-theft functionality) Will my unit activate anti-theft or will it store the VIN from my car onto the HU memory?

Wont activate anti theft unless it is put into another car.

So as long as the HU is installed in my car at the time of firmware update, I will be OK?
